Two Vally of Flowers & One Fort : Kaas Pathar & Raireshwar Pathar AND Rohida Fort
Manogat Adventure Tourism’s 2 Days Monsoon Trek at Rohida Fort, Raireshwar Pathar & Kaas Pathar.

Rohida fort

Fort: Rohida aka Vichitragad aka Binicha Killa
Height : 3650 ft (above MSL)
Base village : Mankarwadi / Bajarwadi (near Bhor)
Grade : Easy

Rohida or Vichitragad is a fort situated about 15 Km from Bhor village. It is one of the southmost forts in Pune district. Rohida is barren in Summer or Winter but With monsoon it is filled with lush green grass.  Rohida is famous for torrent wind !! If you haven't experienced the wind during monsoon months on Rohida fort then you don't know what it is !! Apart from this points of attraction are old temple, few big water tanks, Chor darvaja, Buruj (bastion) on North East Face, Chuna grinding wheel.  This fort is also called as WICHITRA GAD or BINICHA KILLA or ROHIDA.IT is related with SATWAHAN ERA (hitorians think so)this is near from BHOR.Krishnaji Bhaskar Kulkarni the lawyer of Afjal Khan was HAWALDAR of this fort.

Raireshwar

Raireshwar is situated in Bhor Taluka near Pune, India. Raireshwar has a temple famous for its historical importance. The temple is very old and of stone structure, uut it was later re-constructed in 18th century. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj took the oath of Hindavi Swarajya in this temple at the age of 16 in 1645 and then created history. Its said that he had cut his little finger and taken the oath by dripping blood onto the Shivling. There is a large portrait of Shivaji Maharaj and his friends inside the temple. Thus , Raireshwar can be considered as an important place in Maratha history. It is situated in between various hills and forts such as Kenjalgad. The temple is on a plateau, which is full of beautiful flowers during monsoon. Best season to visit this place is Monsoon.  It is very beautiful place to visit during June to February. Distance from Pune is 82 km. Pune - Bhor 56 km. Bhor - Korle 20 km. Korle - Raireshwar 6 km.

Kaas Plateau

Kaas Plateau, nestled in the Sahyadris (Western Ghats) in the District of Satara (of Mahabaleshwar fame), is also known as Maharashtra's Plateau of Flowers or the Valley of Flowers (being surrounded by valleys on two sides). As the monsoon sets in, the place comes alive with millions of wild flowers blooming on the plateau and along the slopes of the hills (all naturally occurring). The carpet changes colour every passing day and hour - white, yellow, pink, violet, blue. Add to this the changing hues of the sky, it being rainy season, and you have a magical place - a place fit for the Gods!

The best time to enjoy this nature's bounty is August - October, of which September is perhaps the best. Apart from the flowers, keep an eye on the fauna as well - birds such as the Malabar Crested Lark, Bonneli's Eagle, Indian Robin, Crested Bunting, etc; reptiles - we saw a man holding Vine Snake on our way to the plateau; and myriad insects.

Cost : 1500, including bus journey from Mumbai-Rohida-Raireshwar-Kaas-Mumbai, and food during entire tour/trek.  Night Halt of 24th Night will be at Raireshwar Village.  Every person has to carry their own bedding, atleast 2 chadar/bedsheets.
